This Tilting Studio Easel is an extremely versatile easel suitable for artists producing large-scale artworks.
The easel has a large tilt range including the ability to tilt completely flat. This feature enables the easel to be used for watercolors, pastels, gesso, varnish, fluid art and glazes. Castor wheels can be locked into place when you catch the perfect angle of light.

Q. Can it sit completely flat at 180 degrees or is there a tilt? A. It can be adjusted to work completely vertically flat.
Q. Can it tilt forward for pastel work? A. This easel does not tilt forward, at the most it stands perfectly vertical.
Q. Can you sit with a chair and use this easel? A. Yes, however the frame at the base may be in the way, depending on the type of chair.
Q. Can it be locked into position? A. Yes, there is a handle behind the mast that locks the position of the base support. The castor wheels are also lockable.
Q. What is the heaviest framed piece this easel can support? A. We recommend the maximum weight to safely use this easel for display is 12-15ks
Q. Does it collapse down for storage? A. No, it is designed to remain assembled in the studio and does not collapse down.
Q. How long does it take to assemble? A. We recommend setting aside an hour or two to assemble this easel, depending on skill and experience. Once unpacked, all parts and components should be checked off using the instructions booklet prior to starting.
